The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the establishment of cooperation among institutions for protecting natural and cultural heritage in Croatia and Montenegro, through joint programs, education, transfer of knowledge and awareness raising activities. It covers an area of ​​Dubrovnik and the Kotor Bay through a joint cross-border activities in the application of new methodologies for the protection and management of natural and cultural heritage. Planned activities include: organizing training for representatives of professional services: Training on the assessment of the cultural landscape and the use of new technologies in the protection and management of natural and cultural heritage, Training in GIS for the analysis of the landscape; organizing study visit to France for the representatives of Croatian and Montenegro in order to get acquainted with the best practices of protection and management of cultural and natural heritage; Development of studies: Comparative analysis of the legal framework in the field of protection and management of natural and cultural heritage with the recommendations for its improvement, Study of natural and cultural heritage and cultural landscapes in pilot areas of cross-border area and the feasibility study for the economic valuation of natural and cultural heritage in the pilot zones of the cross-border area; production of a manual for the application of new methodologies in the field of protection and management of natural and cultural heritage; organizing the "Landscape days" manifestation; creation and distribution of joint informational/promotional materials of natural and cultural heritage of the area of ​​Dubrovnik and Kotor Bay.

The implementation of the project Heritage - driver of development was completed in April 2015.
