Programme: ENTER-transfer
Lead partner: University of Economics in Bratislava
Duration: 06/2017-05/2020
Budget: €2.033.162,35 (Regional Agency DUNEA €187.630,50)

The main objective of the project ENTER-transfer is to improve economic and social market of Central Europe, and make it more competitive towards other countries. Business succession is becoming one of the most prominent issues for companies and policy-makers. Every year many well-functioning family-run companies disappear due to the inability to find successors to the business leaders. Despite existing succession schemes in some countries, there is still overall limited experience and awareness on business ownership transfer. One of the responsibilities is to preserve sustainability of the business, acquired capital, jobs and social value. The project ENTER-transfer aims to facilitate business succession at national and transnational level. The project will develop innovative tools and services that will streamline the business succession process and help sustaining family companies. Also, the project will develop a matchmaking portal for companies that seek succession, a toolbox with practical guidelines for both succession seeking companies and succession seekers, and strategies for creating favourable conditions for business succession. The joint efforts of the partners will result in improved awareness and succession-supporting capacities of public bodies through training, strengthened skills and competences of young entrepreneurs so that one day they can take over.

Regional Agency DUNEA participates with partners from Slovakia (Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave, Inovačné partnerské centrum), Czech Republic (Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze, Jihočeský vědeckotech nický park), Austria (FH OÖ Forschungs und Entwicklungs GmbH, Business Upper Austria – OÖ Wirtschaftsa gentur GmbH) and Poland (Instytut Technologii Eksploatacji-Państwowy Instytut Badawczy).
