Shared knowledge for energy renovation in buildings by public administrations

The main territorial challenge is to improve management of public resources and foster the implementation of strategies, policies and projects of energy efficiency in public buildings on the Mediterranean area.
SHERPA main goal is to reinforce capacities of the public administrations at regional and local levels in order to improvement of the energy efficiency in public buildings and reduction of CO2 emissions. Expected activities and results will be, based on knowledge and experiences sharing, development of the methodologies and strategies for management of public resources, implementation of IT tools in energy efficiency, and definition of projects, interventions and investment activities in public buildings.
DUNEA participate in partnership with partners from Spain (Department of Governance, Public Administrations and Housing, Governemnt of Catalonia, International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering – CIMNE, Valencia Institute of Building – IVE), France (Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe - CPRM, National association of Local Authorities, Associations and Companies for Waste Management and District Heating – AMORCE), Italy (Emilia Romagna Region, Lazio Region, Abruzzo Region), Malta (Ministry for Gozo) i Greece (Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving – CRES, Region of Crete). Within Dubrovnik and Neretva Region, DUNEA will concentrate its activities around organization and management of public buildings in terms of energy efficiency managemet.
Total project budget is € 3.591.689,35, where 85 % of the budget is provided by European Regional Development Fund, and it amounts € 3.052.935,97.
